Construction Inspector

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector. This position will serve as a Construction Inspector reporting to the Project Supervisor or Resident Project Representative on the project. The ideal candidate will perform construction observation and inspection on a variety of Transportation projects throughout Indiana. The candidate will interact with clients, contractors, and the public in meetings and other communication forms. Will provide documentation of construction progress through daily reports, status reports, and other forms of data reporting. Previous municipal utility inspections (water, sanitary and stormwater) are a must. Required Qualifications: - Requires knowledge of transportation construction and quality control practices. - Must be knowledgeable in the Indiana Department of Transportation, Indianapolis Department of Public Works or other governmental agency specifications, standards and inspection requirements. - Read and interpret construction plans, drawings and other technical documents. - Inspect work of contractors and document project progress and quality of work. - Ability to measure and calculate quantities of materials. - Perform...
