POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Corporate Counsel - Environmental Litigation & Regulatory is responsible for managing and providing legal counseling and advice to the Company on a wide range of environmental, regulatory and toxic tort claims, demands, investigations, litigation and other legal matters. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a diverse portfolio of environmental and related matters, including CERCLA/Superfund, property damage, toxic tort, negligence, nuisance, trespass, indemnity, insurance coverage, and other claims and litigation. Provide legal and strategic support to cross‑functional teams (Engineering & Environmental Compliance, Sustainability, Post Collections Operations Support, and others) on environmental and regulatory compliance, disclosures, investigations, remedial actions, Superfund projects, transaction diligence, and internal policies, procedures, and training. Advise the Company on federal, state, and local environmental statutes and regulations, including RCRA, CERCLA, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and EPA and state landfill gas monitoring requirements.
