Description Certified Pharmacy Technician: Advanced Rx Pharmacy is a physician-owned clinical and compounding pharmacy associated with Advanced Pain Care. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Communicate with physicians, patients, insurance companies on a regular basis - Receive refill requests from patients and obtain authorization for refills from physician’s offices - Prepare various non-sterile compounds including, but not limited to, suspensions, solutions, creams, ointments, suppositories, capsules, etc. - Accurately weigh and prepare the ingredients for compound medications according to the designated formula worksheet specifications while following all applicable and appropriate compounding guidelines and quality standards - Package and label the medications in an appropriate dispensing device - Ensure the pharmacist on duty has signed off and verified the formulations according to the prescription prior to commencing compound preparation - Maintain patient’s confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and participate in required training whenever necessary - Must properly control the release of proprietary and confidential information - Comply with all record keeping requirements a...
