Job Description Hours: Full-Time – 35 Hours: Work Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, NY, 11101 The Department of Design and Construction, Division of Public Buildings, seeks a Senior Design Liaison for its Design + Construction Excellence Unit. The selected candidate will oversee a portfolio of complex capital projects throughout the five boroughs and will be charged with supporting the development of high-quality, viable designs that contribute to a thriving, equitable, sustainable, resilient, and healthy city. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Design Liaison will be to 1) ensure the importance of design throughout the life of the project, from planning and initiation, including Request for Qualifications/Proposal development and consultant selection, throughout design and construction, and during project close-out, 2) support consensus building among the various project stakeholders while communicating why and how quality design can help solve problems that arise when addressing design approvals, budgetary constraints, and schedule requirements, and 3) work closely with Project Managers, Team Leaders, consultants, and sponsor agencies to support the development of a respons...
