Department Overview OREGON, Astoria. Oregon Health & Science University, (OHSU), is a leading health and research university that strives for excellence in patient care, education, research, and community service. Casey Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology at OHSU is recruiting a full-time Comprehensive Ophthalmologist for its affiliated clinic located in Astoria, Oregon. This position will join an established and highly regarded University-based practice with clinical, research, and educational responsibilities, and will hold an academic appointment. It has a strong established referral base and an active surgical load. The group practice consists of 12 optometrists and 52 ophthalmologists offering sub-specialty services in cornea, vitreoretinal disease, ophthalmic pathology and oncology, uveitis and ocular immunology, glaucoma, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology, low vision rehabilitation, and ophthalmic genetics. The ideal candidate must be board certified or board eligible. Oregon and Washington state medical licensures are required.
