About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at Opera Australia on a full-time basis. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and delivering accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting across the organisation. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant plays a critical role in providing financial insights, strengthening internal controls and supporting audit readiness. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with stakeholders across the business, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making and operational success. Key Responsibilities: - Lead month-end close activities including journals, accruals, income deferrals and balance sheet reconciliations. - Prepare annual financial statements for Opera Australia and Opera Australia Capital Fund. - Deliver high-quality monthly management reporting and quarterly financial insights to stakeholders. - Support annual audits, including preparation of workpapers and responding to audit queries. - Prepare statutory returns including FBT an...
