Interacts with surgeons to clarify orders as needed. Interviews and hires new staff. Facilitates the education of staff and evaluates their competency. Orks with Materials Management to monitor supply usage and manage costs appropriately. The manager has a 24-hour, 7 days a week responsibility to provide leadership, management, administration and supervision for the unit and staff.
