The internship is designed to give a student exposure to essential data science function within a healthcare organization: prepares, verifies and analyzes health care data extracted from the electronic health record or financial systems for purposes of quality improvement, clinical operations, or business optimization. Partners with the University of Utah Health Innovation group analysts and data scientists on advanced analytics approaches and AI innovation opportunities .
