Position Title Pharmacy Technician II - Investigational Drug Services Bell Hospital: Position Summary / Career Interest: Join our Cancer Care team! Our Investigational Drug Pharmacy Technicians are involved in compounding investigational drugs that are not currently FDA approved but are actively being studied. Our IDS team plays a vital role in research that advances the treatment of cancer and other diseases. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: - Prepares medications for dispensing: Efficiently and accurately prepares basic and advanced sterile compounds following all established procedures and safety protocols. Passes annual sterile compounding competency with no corrections. - Distributes medications and stock items: Pulls and stocks ADS machines with high accuracy and timeliness. Ensures accuracy of ADS inventory through outdates, cycle counts, resolution of discrepancies and accurate barcode scanning. Maintains drug transfer records appropriately for transfers between pharmacy locations including transfers for investigational drugs. - Maintains Pharmacy Inventory: Places and receives drug orders through wholesaler or study sponsor for investigational agents.
