Journeyman Lineman and Troublemen-Central & Coastal Regions (Augusta & Savannah Areas) Placement at a headquarters will be based on availability of openings and if you are in a commutable distance of the headquarters. Candidate must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the assignment location in order to meet "call out" requirements. If a candidate does not currently live within this area, candidate must be willing to immediately relocate to meet this requirement. - Candidate must be available and accessible in times of emergency which could include evenings, weekends and holidays. - Candidate must be available and accessible at least 50% of time for emergency "call-out". - Candidate must be available for travel outside the state to support storm emergencies as needed. JOB SUMMARY: Note: This is a position covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Georgia Power and IBEW Local 84 and is governed by this agreement. Union membership is optional.
