Job Description Summary For this role, advanced expertise, typically acquired through five or more years of polysomnography experience and RPSGT certification, is required. The sleep technologist operates under the general supervision of the medical director or designated authority, providing comprehensive assessment and treatment for sleep disorders. This includes in-center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, patient care, and education. A credentialed sleep technologist in sleep technology, they oversee other sleep center staff, while technicians and trainees are supervised directly by the credentialed technologist or the medical director.
