Overview Job Summary: The Renal Specialist Level I will identify the needs and priorities of the dialysis and apheresis patient through assessment. The Renal Specialist Level I plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The Renal Specialist Level I evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The Renal Specialist Level I is accountable for outcomes of patient care of assigned patients. Demonstrates through behavior Huntsville Hospital’s mission, vision and values as outlined in this document, Employee Handbook and the Power of Excellence. Qualifications: Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure. Experience: Prefer ICU and/or previous Dialysis experience. Responsibility of the Dialysis staff to give supporting documentation for Renal Specialist II to the Dialysis Unit Charge Nurse.
