Cook I JOB SUMMARY: Prepares food and serves customers at hot station in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and company/client standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided. Distinguishing Characteristics: Responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking a variety of foods, monitoring the temperature to ensure food is cooked safely, plate food in an attractive manner, and throughout and after shift maintain cleanliness. Cleanliness is of utmost importance in the kitchen, and all cooks are responsible for making sure customers stay healthy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules. - Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items. - Uses established ticket collection procedures during service.
