City/State Hampton, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Overview: Primary Location: Sentara CarePlex, Hampton, VA. Will require travel to Sentara Obici, Williamsburg and Halifax. The Director, Clinical Risk is responsible for leading the Clinical Risk Management team within the market structure through System-level initiatives. Risk activities include, but are not limited to, data abstraction, analysis, and committee reporting to facilitate risk identification and mitigation strategy development. Provides oversight of clinical risk management activities within each of the Sentara Markets through continual evaluation and assessment to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness. Works collaboratively with Quality, Patient Safety, and other leadership across the Market to mitigate risk and identify opportunities to improve the quality of care and services while preventing harm. Responsible for CANDOR and disclosure process education, development, and assistance. Monitors the electronic incident reporting database in support of the Sentara Health event management process.
