Job Summary San José State University’s Student Wellness Center (SWC) is dedicated to advancing the holistic health and well-being of its diverse student population. Reporting to the Director of Wellness and Health Promotion, The Health Promotion Specialist, Mental Health plays a key role in designing, implementing, and evaluating campus-wide initiatives that promote mental health, resilience, and help-seeking behaviors. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and lead mental health workshops and programs for students - Create and manage health education content and online resources - Train and support Peer Health Educators - Partner with campus and community groups to promote student well-being - Lead campus-wide mental health and prevention initiatives - Track program outcomes and make improvements based on data - Support events, meetings, and wellness center activities Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Comprehensive knowledge of health education theory, research, program design, implementation, evaluation, and higher-education standards; familiarity with student development theories. - Demonstrated knowledge of the socio-ecological model and how to incorporate universal, selective, and indi...
