Other key responsibilities include housekeeping duties, assisting with stocking and placement of supplies, and providing (as needed) back-up relief and support to the Administrative Assistant position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Communication and Patient Care Monitor patients vital signs (as may be required under the direction of nursing staff). Properly connect patients to oxygen machine, blood pressure machine, pulse ox monitor and ECG leads. Ensure that the recovery room / recovery restroom is suitable for patient recovery. Assist with transfers to the operating room. Assist patient in preparation for discharge as directed by nursing staff. Act as liaison between patient and patients family, or patients designated attending representative(s), for communicating patients need for discharge (patient pick-up).
