Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Child Protection Team. This part-time position involves both independent and team-based clinical practice and consultation in the evaluation and management of pediatric patients referred for possible child abuse and neglect. This role potentially includes scheduled weekend and holiday coverage. Key Responsibilities: Perform clinical assessments of children suspected of being victims of abuse or neglect in ambulatory, emergency, and inpatient settings. Obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and document findings appropriately. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; develop and implement treatment plans. Provide expert consultation via telephone, video conferencing, or electronic communication to Child Protective Services and healthcare providers.
