Job Title: OR Surgical Technologist Department: Perioperative and Surgical Services Location: Rochester General Hospital - 1425 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621 Hours Per Week: Per Diem Schedule: Rotating, Sunday-Saturday: Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 SUMMARY: The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role as a key member of the surgical team, serving as the primary scrub technologist during procedures. This individual is responsible for preparing, organizing, and managing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. The Surgical Technologist maintains strict adherence to sterile techniques and demonstrates continuous attention to preserving the integrity of the sterile field throughout each procedure. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a minimum of 15 Continuing Medical Education hours annually. Prepare and check instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures. Set up and maintain a sterile field, following strict aseptic techniques. Assist with patient draping and ensure the surgical team is properly attired.
