Kitchen Helper - Camp Campbell

Job description

The Kitchen Helper is responsible for cleaning all dishes, utensils and kitchen / food preparation equipment, as well as general sanitation and organization of the YMCA Camp Campbell kitchen. An understanding of basic food service knowledge must be employed by the Dish Washer to effectively and safely clean and sanitize the kitchen. The dish washer will also assist with kitchen activities as instructed. SALARY RANGE: $20.00 - $24.00/hour: Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand. - Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition. Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving. - Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars. - Sweep or scrub floors. - Clean garbage cans with water or steam. - Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. - Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand. - Follow health and safety standards.
