Title: First-Year Experience AESOP Coordinator Position Purpose: Bates College is seeking a First-Year Experience AESOP Coordinator to oversee the Annual Entering Students Orientation Program (AESOP) that is an essential part of new student orientation. The First-Year Experience AESOP Coordinator supports the implementation of Leadership Week & AESOP trips, managing the AESOP website, responding to email inquiries, and supporting other areas of outdoor education and First-Year Experience programs. This is a temporary position. Job Duties: - Incorporate the tenants of equity, inclusion, access, and risk management in all areas of work. - Provide First-Years and their families with effective communication and resources. - Supervise AESOP Coordinators with designing and planning Leadership Week and AESOP Trips, including building trip itineraries and matching first-year students with an AESOP trip based on interest and skill level. - Develop and facilitate workshops and training blocks that provide consistent information and resources to all student leaders. - Coordinate and designs a summer communication strategy for first-year students and their families, assists in the implementati...
