Education) Course Title: Teaching Instrumental Music at the Intermediate Division Course Code: PED 3188 Section: I100 Course Description: Introduction to the teaching of one of many disciplines at the intermediate and senior divisions. Impact of the particular discipline on the whole learner; individualized instruction; theoretical framework and pedagogical implications; critical examination and interpretation of relevant curriculum guidelines. Development of programs; analysis and application of specific teaching strategies and techniques unique to the discipline. Evaluation procedures and techniques. HYBRID COURSE: In Teacher Education, Hybrid means that all courses include ten in-person sessions offered on campus at the University of Ottawa (30 in-person instructional hours) and two online course modules, delivered through Brightspace, which provide the equivalent of 6 instructional hours.
