Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist physicians with various aspects of patient care (including clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks) ensuring patient satisfaction. Education: Experience: - High School education or equivalent is required - Successful completion of Medical Assistant program preferred or equivalent healthcare program or minimum of one year of direct patient care experience. - Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities. - Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred. License/Certification/Registration: - Effectively functions as a team member and as a liaison between patient and staff. - Supports and encourages harmonious communication skills. - Uses verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills. - Demonstrates high level of mental and emotional tolerance, uses tact, sensitivity and sound judgments. - Communicates in highly professional manner at all times. - BLS required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component.
