Job description

The Pharmacist, compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs in a healthcare facility environment, transfers prescriptions, provides drug information in collaboration to other healthcare professionals, performs medication order entry into the computer, monitors patient profiles for appropriate medication use oversees the work of the support staff and documents any relevant intervention. The position is expected to meet state certifications, requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures, and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. - Record Management: This will have been satisfactorily performed when… - Accurate medication patient profiles per MD orders are maintained in the Cerner system 100% of the time. - Proficiency is developed in pharmacy information systems including the ability to troubleshoot and/or clarify orders as evidenced by the resolution of problems immediately and lack of complaints. - Clinical pharmacists are notified when an order is placed in the clinical queue. - Initiative is displayed to prevent, identify, and resolve pharmacy related patient care problems immediately. - Consultation: This will have been satisfactor...
