Job DetailsJob Location: Dogs Inc Main Campus - Palmetto, FL 34221Salary Range: $16.00The Canine Keeper is responsible for the care of all dogs housed at the Veterinary Center. This position maintains a clean and tidy work environment including kennels, grounds, and building. Responsibilities: Participate in afternoon rounds to keep up to date on patient status and tasks that need to be completed at the Vet Center. Shut down and lock up the building at end of shift. Clean and disinfect runs and outside yards. Maintain cleanliness of all interior building spaces. Assist Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses as needed. Transport dogs on and off campus as needed. Prepare food and ensure all dogs are fed. Medicate dogs and perform treatments as directed by medical team. Care of post operative dogs, including basic wound care and therapy laser treatments. Observe and report temperament and health details (i.e. vomiting, diarrhea, limping, etc.) to medical services team members. Exercise animals in accordance with medical or quarantine status. Weigh, groom, and bathe dogs. Use proper dog handling techniques and kennel commands to ensure a safe kennel environment. Have positive interactions...
