Hormel Foods – Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (1st Shift) Location: Alma, KS: Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 5AM-1:30PM; weekend work as required) Wage Rate: $24.75–$34.50 per hour: We are seeking motivated, skilled individuals to join our Maintenance team. Ideal candidates show strong problem-solving abilities, reliability, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence. This role plays a critical part in keeping production equipment running efficiently and safely in our food processing environment. Responsibilities: - Tear down, set up, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all plant equipment with minimal supervision. - Install, operate, maintain, and repair processing equipment using industrial maintenance skills. - Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to ensure safe and efficient operation. - Perform preventative and predictive maintenance programs. - Assist with system modifications to improve equipment operation and support plant goals. - Utilize the Asset Management System (EAM). - Provide training to less experienced maintenance personnel.
