The National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program at Leidos is seeking a Telecommunications Engineering Technician to provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group located in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will support the daily operations of the Brand-New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS). This new system will replace outdated infrastructure including radar, software, hardware and telecommunications networks to manage modern travel. Telecommunications Engineering Technician Job Duties Include: - Review FAA databases and provide input and or draft Site Survey Reports (SSR). - Conduct site surveys to provide input and/or draft Site Survey Reports. - Coordinate schedules with SSC, ES, and vendor personnel. - Draft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and Operational Risk Management Plans (ORMP). - Generate and/or update drawings, sketches, and artifacts. - Draft project plans for site preparation activities. - Coordinate scheduled outages with SSC, Air Traffic and Operations personnel. - Develop transition plans. - Resolve schedule conflicts. - Accompany unbadged personnel at facilities. - Work with LECs on sc...
