Responsibilities: The software tool engineer is responsible for the automation of requirements management, change management, requirements gathering/tracking, and configuration management are critical to a project's needs throughout the project’s lifecycle. Requirements for all projects need to be traceable to all originating sources and to final outcome of the produced product. Projects require automated solutions to effectively manage the requirements, link source documents, and architectures. Other critical areas requiring automated solutions are incident/problem management, knowledge management, defect tracking, testing, modeling architectures and designs, and lifecycle traceability.
