Job description
The Advanced Research Scientist will oversee departmental research environment while managing core facility operations, equipment management, and cross-departmental initiatives. The role requires a blend of scientific expertise, project management skills, and strong communication to ensure seamless workflows in histology, organ procurement, safety, and laboratory logistics. - Oversee histology core operations, training, scheduling, and quality control - Manage organ procurement logistics, compliance, and inter-lab liaison - Supervise maintenance and usage of shared freezers, autoclave, etc. - Coordinate tagging, disposal, surveys, and tracking of equipment - Serve as safety resource, support inspections and hazard reporting - Plan and execute lab move-in/out, furniture, and equipment setup - Handle building issues, work orders, emergency preparedness, etc. Minimum Qualifications: The minimum requirement is 2 years of medical research experience with a bachelor’s degree in a medical science or natural science field.
