Regions Hospital is hiring a friendly, organized, and adaptable individual to join the Observation as a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)! This unit is a med-surg/telemetry unit focused on short stay medical-surgical observation as well as extended recovery patients. This includes, general surgery, acute care surgery, neurosurgery, urology, cardiac telemetry, and post procedural care. Individuals who are hired into this role receive a one to two week training about the electronic health system and how to use it effectively to ensure they can be that partner for good. Taking on the role as a Health Unit Coordinator means you will use your communication and critical-thinking skills to support the nursing staff and create a welcoming environment for patients and visitors. As a Health Unit Coordinator, you serve as the first person of contact on the unit and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors through welcoming behaviors, effective communication, and information sharing.
