Position Summary: The Material Handler focuses on maximizing the use of material drops in the production process to maintain a consistently low scrap rate by keeping their plants scrap rate below the company wide goal of 20%. Focused on material utilization of our metal both running through our Turret/Laser, and being cut by our shears. Responsibilities: - Oversee utilization of drops from the production process. Pre-cut braces and full sheets are being used properly - Checking the scrap bin to make sure employees aren’t throwing away usable material, and talking to employees who aren’t following guidelines properly - Create more storage for usable scrap material that will minimize welder movement to increase throughput. - Create daily process to re-fill al...
