AVTECH Global is looking for an Upholstery Tech I in Savannah, GA. Shift: First (05:00 to 15:30); other shifts may be available Pay Rate: $23.32 per hour: Job Type: Full-time, Contract: Contract Duration: 12 months (w/opportunity for extension) Benefits: Experience/Education: Purpose: Under moderate supervision fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and make simple patterns for aircraft interiors using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications. - coverage of up to one-half of employee's medical insurance premium for a base plan - eight (8) paid holidays - per diem split (if qualified) - three (3) sets of uniforms (if applicable) - opportunity to become a direct hire after ninety (90) days - High School Diploma/GED. - Entry level position. - Experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades is preferred. - Valid driver's license is required. - Participation in a DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program is required.
