Maintenance Technician

Job description

An opportunity has arisen within the Alloy Maintenance Department, at our Exeter site, for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician. This is a permanent, full-time shift position on a three-shift rotation. Main Responsibilities: - Minimise production downtime by trouble shooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences. - Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment. - Use a Maintenance Management System carry out preventative/ planned maintenance work. - Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing recurring issues. - Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to all EHS Company policies. - Continuously enhance job knowledge through training and development opportunities. - Perform electrical and mechanical work, including fabrication, welding and some minor electrical installation work as required. - Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent. - Recently demonstrated multiskilled proficiency in electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, fabrication, and welding. -...
