Description The Department of Global Languages and Cultures in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for two (2) full-time academic professional track (non-tenure) positions in Spanish language with a 9-month academic appointment beginning in fall 2026. Candidates will be considered for the position of lecturer or senior lecturer depending on qualifications. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas: ● Spanish for the Professions (e.g., Business, Medical, Legal) ● Spanish for Heritage Speakers ● Translation and Interpreting The successful candidate will be expected to teach four (4) courses per semester in Spanish language, primarily in the fields above, from the beginning to the advanced level, and to contribute to program building in Spanish language and to provide academic service, in a manner consistent with their appointment, to the mission of the department and university.
