Job Description The CIS, with a focus on patient safety, is required to function within the parameters of the legal scope of practice and in accordance with the federal, state, and local laws; rules and regulations; and policies, procedures and guidelines of the employing health care institution or practice setting. The CIS functions under his or her own education, licensure and/or certification and assumes accountability and responsibility for quality of care provided to patients and their families according to the standards of practice. The CIS demonstrates responsibility for continued competence in practice, and develops insight through reflection, self-analysis, self-care, and lifelong learning. SHIFT AND SCHEDULE: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 6:00am- 2:30pm, with Call ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: - Scope of Practice - A cardiovascular invasive specialist completes a wide variety of duties on a day-to-day basis. They work regularly with many members of a health care team, including physicians, surgeons, and nurses.
