Security Officer

Job description

The hospital Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property. This role involves proactive patrol, incident response, access control, and collaboration with clinical staff and emergency responders. The Security Officer must exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and effective communication in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Education/Training: Licenses/Certification: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Prior security, law enforcement, military, or hospital security experience preferred. - Healthcare or behavioral health security experience strongly preferred. - • CPR/BLS certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment. - • MOAB or AVADE certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. - • Active driver’s license required Required Qualifications and Skills: - A minimum of 2 years of experience in security, public safety, hospital, healthcare, or behavioral health environment involving direct interaction with patients, visitors, or the public. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong observational, problem-solving, a...
