The Education Support Officer (Academic Calendar Transition) plays a key role in supporting the School of Physics with the academic calendar transition from the existing ‘3+’ academic calendar model to a ‘flex-semester’ calendar, due to be implemented by 2028. This transition will also include a comprehensive revision of the undergraduate teaching curriculum to align with the expectations of the Australian Institute of Physics accreditation program. Working within the School and liaising closely with key stakeholders, including the Science Education Team (SET), this role will prioritise calendar-related deliverables while contributing to ongoing academic quality activities to ensure integration and continuity. The role will support and advise on curriculum and timetable changes while liaising with academic and professional staff to ensure alignment between the School, Faculty and Central initiatives.
