Facility Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina Department: Pharmacy Job Family: Professional Work Shift: Variable (United States of America) Summary: This position is accountable to work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department to provide quality patient care. Pharmacy technicians will perform in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Major Job Functions The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Assist in medication preparation by selecting, counting, compounding, reconstituting, packaging, and labeling per established departmental guidelines. Maintain and replenish up-to-date inventory of medications and supplies stored. Stock and replace emergency crash carts, drug boxes, as well as other specialty floor stocked items (RSI kits, NICU Transport Box, etc.) throughout the health system.
