Job DetailsJob Location: Woodlands - The Woodlands, TX 77380Position Type: Part TimeTravel Percentage: NoneJob Category: Health CarePOSITION SUMMARY Contributes to the organization by floating to multiple locations as needed, working closely with the ophthalmologist to perform basic, advance, and complex preliminary tests and measurements of the eyes. The OA floater generally meets with the patient before the Ophthalmologist to obtain medical history and prepare the patient for the examination. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for properly stocking, preparing, and maintaining the cleanliness of exam rooms during clinic. Reviews patient chart for accuracy of information. Prepare patients for physicians exam. Perform tests based on the specific reasons for the visit and physicians preference. Assists with in-office procedures. Prepare and ensure all consent forms are complete and accurate prior to in-office procedures. Prepares and cleans room after procedure. Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications under the direction of the physician. May act as scribe to assist physicians with entering exam information into electronic record.
