POSITION SUMMARY: The Mechanical Design Engineer will contribute to the development and maintain of both new and existing products; work in a cross-functional environment with electrical controls, thermal & other development groups; manage a variety of tasks and activities in this dynamic environment; and solve complex problems related to High density and Liquid cooling applications for data centers. This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Ironton, OH location. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide daily support to manufacturing operations by ensuring seamless product flow through the production line, coordinating with both on-site factory personnel and the extended Center of Excellence (COE) team. - Creates/modifies mechanical Parts/Assemblies/drawings in CAD systems, such as Creo and/or Solid Edge. - Create and maintain Bill of Materials and unit configurator logic to select the correct BOM’s based on options selected by the customer. - Works with Manufacturing, Service and Quality to understand their requirements to design a product that best meets all their needs. - Assist with prototype builds by providing technical support and providing guidance when issues arise. - Gather feedb...
