Job description

Overview We have a career opportunity for a Control System Technician II (CST) to join our team! The Control Systems Technician II (CST2) applies their control system knowledge to maintain, troubleshoot and repair wastewater treatment processes at treatment plants and pumping stations. The CST2 works with all skilled trades, managers and engineers to determine root causes for malfunctioning equipment or processes and implements solutions using modern control system technology. They provide direction and mentoring to CST 1. They work with operating departments to design improvement initiatives to support process optimization and continuous improvement. This work requires the CST2 to have deep understanding of the mechanical, electrical, SCADA and physical treatment principles involved in controlling an industrial process. The CST2 must be familiar with all types of industrial control and processing equipment including electrical breakers, variable frequency drives, actuators, instruments, transmitters, motors, pumps, gearboxes, PLC’s and computer networking equipment including SCADA software, hardware and architecture.
