Quality & Patient Safety Specialist – Ambulatory

Job description

The specialist will monitor and lead quality management and quality improvement programs for the GBMC outpatient departments and GBMC Health Partners physician practices including patient care and relations, regulatory compliance, risk management and safety, complaint resolution, emergency preparedness, performance improvement, and infection control. Provide insight for improvement initiatives based on proactive surveillance of practice environment. Utilize process improvement tools to help guide and lead improvement activities. Education Bachelor of Science or BSN preferred Experience: Experience in healthcare quality preferred; minimum 2 years’ experience in outpatient healthcare setting preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Skill in using basic computers and personal productivity applications (MS Office) with strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point - Skill in written and oral communication with strong interpersonal and facilitation skills - Ability to effectively facilitate implementation of improvement and problem-solving activities and demonstrate experience in quality improvement and/or lean - Efficient with chart review/navigation of the Electronic Medical Re...
