Job Summary: The Supervisor-Environmental Svcs is responsible for the daily operations of the EVS/housekeeping staff, cleanliness of the facility and quality assurance of assigned areas. Responds to telephone and written requests from hospital departments by dispatching appropriate personnel. Is responsible for training new employees, scheduling, and supervising to ensure staff is working at the level of expectation. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Minimum three years of housekeeping experience required. Minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of proper use of EVS equipment required; Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA and other regulatory agencies preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Able to apply knowledge of proper use of carpet/furniture extractor, floor buffer, vacuums, buckets, wringers, dust mops, dusting equipment, step ladders, cleaning carts, spray bottles and cleaning products.
