Summary / Primary Role: The Yard Hostler will be primarily responsible for maintaining the efficient flow of containers to support loading operations at both the dry and reefer docks. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (Management may amend or assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time) - Moves trailers in/out of shipping and receiving doors. - Communicates with the dock regarding moves to ensure accuracy and timeliness. - Performs various yard checks/audits. - Assists in maintaining Inbound and Outbound dock and staging areas. - Completes daily equipment inspection reports. - Ensures that all required processes are performed concerning proper paperwork, seals, locking and securing trailers, etc. - Completes other related duties as assigned.
