Description GENERAL SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists the pharmacist in the performance of other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Requirements: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Fill new medication orders and cassettes and prepare for Pharmacist's review. - Assist in reconciliation of missing orders and doses and complete required documentation. - Deliver stock medications and place in appropriate storage location. - Complete all assigned charging and crediting functions, including from miscellaneous sources. - Prepackage medications, such as oral liquids, simple batch compounding, and starter doses for review. - Stock medications to their appropriate locations, rotate stock as necessary and check outdates, and assist in maintaining adequate stock levels. - Maintain assigned inspection section and check outdates monthly. - Fill emergency trays, anesthesia trays, ancillary dept. stock requests, and various medication boxes. - Enter appropriate information-such as NDC, manufacturer, bar-code, lot #, e...
