Production Supervisor

Job description

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: - Directly supervise the activities of the front-line production employees charged with the performance and verification of production activities throughout the plant - Provide coaching and mentoring to develop production employees - Manage, participate, and adhere conformance to the company safety and environmental programs - Must be able to hold employees accountable for safety, environmental, quality, and process related procedures - Must be able to provide positive and corrective feedback to subordinates and peers - Ensure that employees are properly trained on all pertinent procedures - Responsible to identify and initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product or process - Responsible for managing truck and rail car loading, along with managing rail car inventory. - Must be willing to work a 12-hour night shift rotation. Qualifications include: - 5+ years direct production supervisory experience with a focus on safety, environmental matters, quality, process, and people.
