Summary: Responsible for a full range of professional duties including research, data management, analysis, contribution to proposal development; preparation of staff reports and documents while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Composes correspondence and staff reports for the Historic Preservation Board, Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council - Implements the City’s historic preservation ordinance and promotes preservation efforts through designation of local historic landmarks and the heritage marker program - Focuses on City’s redevelopment areas, promotes infill housing construction and other neighborhood-scaled uses - Evaluates adequacy of City’s housing in meeting current and projected needs; recommends priorities, schedules, and funding sources to implement improvements - Assists in preparing and making presentations to the Historic Preservation Board, Planning and Zoning Commission, City Council, and Zoning Board of Adjustment.
