The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III is an Registered Electroencephalographic positon in the Neurodiagnostic unit or department. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III performs procedures according to facility policies and procedures. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III can perform test set up, electrode application, and maintain patient safety during clinically significant events and other related duties. Communication is essential for this position. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III ensures electrode application in adherence with the International 10-20 system; is knowledgeable in EEG performance and recognition of clinically significant events and follows facility policy and procedures regarding critical test results; maintains the patient safety in communication to other patient care support staff during EEG if needed; continues to learn and apply basic and intermediate EEG waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPPA practices, contraindications for activation procedures, instrumentation and preparation for use; performs patient assessment as related to care such as electrode fixation, product allergies, movement r...
