RN Staff Nurse I - Colon/Rectal Surgery

Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary: Provides direct patient care and education for patients receiving treatments, examinations, surgeries, etc., in a medical office according to established procedures. Work schedule and shifts: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. Clinic overview: Nurse will be required to support providers in clinical setting. Nurse will be responsible for patient scheduling, OR scheduling, testing, medications and other others, patient education, pre-operative and post-operative care in an outpatient setting. The section has clinics in multiple locations and the nurse will be responsible to attend different clinic locations based on provider needs. This is a fast paced and high volume section, that prioritizes patient care and positive outcomes for patient satisfaction. Additional duties would include patient triage, answering phones and EPIC messages, routine patient follow through and other administrative tasks associated with nursing staff. Team structure and interactions: This is a large team that supports multiple providers in multiple locations.
