Job Overview & Responsibilities Mythics has an immediate need for a Project Accountant to join our Accounting team. This is a REMOTE position. The Project Accountant is responsible for handling the financial tasks associated with analysis, monitoring and reporting in support of assigned consulting projects and programs. You will coordinate interdepartmental development of program plans and interface with vendors and customers as required. You will monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met. This role also monitors the status of financial accounts, ensuring that task order charges accurately reflect the correct labor hours and rates, subcontractor costs and other direct costs (ODCs). Other tasks include monitoring spending versus plan and escalating any over runs/under runs. You will prepare financial reports, statements and estimates (such as 553M, 533Q, and cost estimate portion of the Task Order Plan) that are provided to the Government to ensure effective management.
