WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Family Support Specialist is a non-exempt position responsible for providing on-site, individual, and family intervention. This individual works as a team member with a case manager, foster parents, primary caregivers, guardian ad litem, and other appropriate professionals. The Family Support Specialist provides assistance, intervention, and education related to issues such as substance abuse, adjustment and relationship issues, stress, daily living skills, budget training, and employment assistance. - Provide transportation and supervision of children and case participants to include individuals with medical and behavioral health needs - Provide, strengthen, and maintain a positive mentoring role by providing support, training, and crisis intervention to foster parents, birth parents, primary caregiver(s), and other team members involved in the case, to ensure child safety and well-being - Assist in developing and implementing a...
